BOTOX®/Dysport®

Cosmetic injections involve temporary treatments lasting 3-6 months. These are designed to help soften and relax strong muscles, allowing the skin a break from creasing, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Areas typically treated are divided into upper face (forehead, furrow brow, crows feet, bunny lines on nose), and lower face (lip flips, down turned smiles, dimpled chin, gummy smiles).

Before and After

How is Therapeutic Botox Different?

Whether you’re receiving cosmetic or therapeutic botox, the process is very similar. However, Therapeutic Botox is mainly used for:

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Neck pain

  • Teeth grinding

  • Jaw clenching

  • Trigger points (muscle pain)

  • Excessive sweating

  • And more

Botox relaxes your muscles or reduces glandular or nerve activity, which helps reduce the pain or symptoms.

When Should You Start Preventative Botox?

Most preventative Botox is started mid 20s to early 30s.

But in all honesty, there is not a "magic" answer.

Wrinkles and fine lines are based off your anatomy and genetic make up.

Preventative treatments consist of addressing areas where fine lines are beginning to emerge.

When the skin creases enough from muscle movement, it begins to form deeper lines when at rest. This can be more difficult to treat and they may not fully diminish post-treatment.
